Caring for your Rabbit skis
A Rabbit on the Roof ski is a living object: an assembly of noble wood and technical materials
that respond, breathe, and develop a patina over time. Like any handcrafted piece, it deserves
special care to reveal its full longevity and the finesse of its glide.
Caring for the wood
turpentine. It benefits from regular care. Over time, a subtle natural patina develops, reflecting
its character and authenticity.
Base maintenance
To preserve the fluidity of your glide:
– have your skis waxed regularly, ideally every 5 to 7 outings;
– if you frequently ski on hard or abrasive snow, maintain them more often;
– at the end of the season, storage wax will protect the base until the following winter.
A well-nourished base absorbs wax more effectively, resists temperature variations better, and significantly extends the life of the ski.
Edge tuning & care
The steel edges provide your grip on the snow. Regular, clean, and even tuning ensures
precision, safety, and comfort. Have the edges checked when you feel the ski gripping less
effectively or vibrating more, especially after contact with rocks.
At the end of the season, a complete cleaning and protective wax treatment will ensure your
skis are in optimal condition when autumn returns.
Caring for your Rabbit skis means extending their performance, preserving their aesthetic,
and above all accompanying their story — yours — season after season.
