Craftsmanship
Rabbit on the Roof skis are hand-crafted wooden freeride ski, entirely produced in Chamonix by Peter Steltzner at the Les Praz sawmill.
Selecting the finest wood and technical materials ensures a remarkable balance of beauty and performance: Solid ash wood core, race-grade bases, tri-axial fibers, and carbon. Each pair is unique, with a second piece of wood chosen for its essence and individuality. Our approach links tradition and technical mastery with beauty and performance.
Shapes are developed to provide optimal glide across all terrains and snow conditions, from touring to pure freeride.
Rabbit on the Roof follows no trends, instead pursuing the highest quality in production and results.
Materials
The Wood Core
The solid wood core forms the heart of the ski, providing balance and uniformity. Ash, sawn in our workshop, ensures flexibility and perfect damping. Ash wood has been used for centuries to make skis. It guarantees energy and long-lasting performance.
Le noyau en bois massif garantit une tonicité et une longévité du ski durable dans le temps.

Durability
Rabbit on the Roof skis are mountain tools. Each pair requires many hours of preparation, assembled in a hydraulic press that optimizes adhesion and uniformity. Every step ensures longevity and performance. Ski responsiveness is guaranteed for 5 years, but their lifespan is much longer.
FLEX
Depending on size and model, skis adapt to both women and men. Flex can be adjusted according to weight, style, and preference. The flex can be modified and adapted upon request.
All our skis can be mounted for telemark or alpine bindings, and are designed for touring, freeride, or piste. Their stability and snow damping make them superb tools in all conditions
